It is a pure exercise, and compared to things like running, kickboxing, etc., this exercise doesn't take as much of a toll on your joints, bones, etc. I've done a lot of other types of activities. If you're looking to improve your cardiovascular condition, few other exercises will offer so much benefit with so few drawbacks.

The benefits of cycling are numerous. You can increase muscle tone, lose weight, and improve cardiovascular conditioning. All of these things are great for your health. Additionally, many significant psychological improvements occur when you ride a bike and enjoy your community.
