Riding together is one of the best parts of cycling, and matching kit makes it official. Done well, his and hers kit looks sharp in every photo and makes a great anniversary or Valentine's gift. Done badly, one of you ends up in a jersey cut for someone else. Here's how to get it right.

Same design or coordinated colors?

  • Exact match: the same design in a men's cut and a women's cut. It's the classic couples look and the easiest to buy.
  • Coordinated: different designs that share a color, like a navy jersey for one rider and navy bib shorts with a bold jersey for the other. It's subtler, and it works if you have different tastes.
  • Matching bottoms, different tops: plain black bib shorts for both, with each rider choosing a jersey. The simplest way to look like a pair without matching exactly.

Get the cut right for both of you

The most common mistake is buying two of the same jersey in different sizes. Men's and women's cycling jerseys are cut differently: women's jerseys are usually shaped at the waist and hips, with shorter sleeves and a different collar height. Always choose a design that comes in both a men's and a women's cut, and size each rider with the right chart in the size guide.

Bib shorts matter even more. Women's bibs use a women's chamois and different strap layouts, so never share a pattern between riders. Our bib shorts fit guide applies to both.

Make it personal

Every Corbah jersey can carry a name, text or logo at no charge. Put both names on, add a date that matters, or a private joke only the two of you will get. If you want something completely your own, request a free custom design and we'll follow up with artwork and a quote.

Buying it as a gift?

Cycling kit fits close, so check sizes before you order: everything is made to order and can't be returned or exchanged. If you're not sure of their size, see our gift ideas by budget or the gift guide. And if you're planning a ride with friends too, try a themed black-tie group ride.
