Birthday Cycling Jerseys: Personalized Gifts for a 40th, 50th or 60th

A jersey with their name, their number and their birthday ride on it. Five ways to make a personalized birthday cycling jersey, plus when to order and how to get the size right.

Socks and bottle cages are fine. A jersey with their name and their number on it is a birthday they'll ride in for years.

Big birthdays and cyclists go together. Plenty of riders celebrate a 40th, 50th or 60th by riding their age in miles or kilometers, and the ride deserves a jersey. Because every Corbah jersey is made to order, we can put almost anything on it. Here are five ways to make a birthday cycling jersey that's really theirs.

1. Put their name and their number on any design

Every Corbah jersey includes free personalization: a name, short text or a logo, at no extra charge. Pick a design they'd love, then tell us what to add in the order notes. Ideas that work well:

  • Their name on the sleeve or the back pocket, like a pro rider.
  • The big number: "50" on the back, or "FIFTY & FAST".
  • A line for the day: "Birthday Ride 2026", or "60 miles for 60 years".
  • An inside joke only the group ride will understand.

2. Turn the birthday ride into the jersey

If they're planning a birthday route, Your Ride turns it into an original jersey: the route line, the real elevation profile, the date and the stats. Send us the Strava, Garmin, Komoot or Ride with GPS link and we email a design proof within 48 hours. It also works for a ride they've already done and loved, like their first century or a favorite climb.

3. Go funny

For the rider who has everything, a jersey that makes the whole group ride laugh is hard to beat. Browse the funny cycling jerseys, from the Tuxedo to the Lumberjack flannel, and add their name for free. The Mechanic is made for it: its work-shirt name patch can carry their name instead of CREW. For a dad's birthday, the World's Greatest Dad jersey says it all.

4. Kit out the whole birthday ride

Want everyone on the ride in matching jerseys? There's no minimum order, so a group of six gets the same care as a club. Request a free design with the birthday idea and we'll follow up with artwork and a quote, or see custom jerseys with no minimum.

5. Match it to their style

Not everyone wants a loud jersey. If they like clean, classic kit, a plain jersey from the Classics line with their name in small lettering is subtle and smart. If they love art, the art jerseys make a beautiful gift.

When to order

Every jersey is made to order, and delivery is usually 5–6 weeks after you order (or after you approve the design for a custom piece). So order at least 6 weeks before the birthday, and earlier if you want a design proof first or you're outside the US. Ordering for Christmas instead? See when to order Christmas cycling gifts.

Getting the size right for a gift

Because each jersey is made just for the rider, we can't take returns or exchanges, so it's worth checking the size first:

  • Borrow a jersey they already wear and like, lay it flat and measure across from armpit to armpit. Compare that with the laid-flat numbers in our size guide. Letter sizes vary between brands, so measure rather than copy the label.
  • Corbah jerseys use a close pro cut. If they like a little more room or fall between sizes, sizing up is usually the safer choice.
  • Men's jerseys run from XS to 4XL. Bigger riders should read our big and tall fit guide.

If the size turns out wrong, they keep the jersey, and within 15 days of delivery they can order the same item in another size at about 20–60% off that new order.

Plan the ride, too

Ride your age is the classic: 50 miles for a 50th, or kilometers if that's more realistic. Add a coffee stop at the halfway point, a cake at the finish and a group photo in the new jersey. Our guide to hosting a group ride people actually show up for works for birthdays too.
